- Responsible for the preparation and defense of the budget of the LGU
- Responsible for the preparation of forms, orders and circulars embodying instructions on budgetary & appropriation matters for the signature of the Local Chief Executive;
- Responsible for the review and consolidation of the budget proposals of different departments and offices of the LGU;
- Responsible for assisting the LCE as the case may be, in the preparation of the budget and during budget hearing;
- Responsible for the study and evaluation of budgetary implications of proposed legislation & submit comments & recommendation thereon;
- Responsible for the submission of the periodic budgetary reports to the DBM;
- Responsible for assisting the Sangguniang Panlungsod in reviewing the approved budget of the LGU and its local components;
- Responsible for the formulation of the LGU development, in coordination with the Planning & Development Coordinator.
ADMINISTRATIVE BUDGETING DIVISION
- Responsible for the preparation and control of the budget of the City;
- Responsible for assisting the City Budget Officer in the preparation of Annual Budget;
- Responsible for the review of the computation of the personal services of the city officials and employees;
- Responsible for the consolidation of the budget proposal of each department;
- Responsible for assisting the City Budget Officer in the preparation of Supplemental Budgets;
- Responsible for the obligation of OBRs to their respective account and offices.
- Responsible for the review of Work & Financial Plan and the book of accounts of different offices and update their balances per month;
- Responsible for the preparation of the quarterly Advice of Allotment and of the different budget forms.
BARANGAY BUDGETING DIVISION
- Responsible for the review of Barangay Budgets.
- Responsible for assisting the Barangay in the preparation of Barangay Budget and Supplemental Budget/s and other forms;
- Responsible for the transmittal of Barangay Budget & Supplement Budget to the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
CITY SCHOOL BOARD DIVISION
- Responsible for the monitoring of the City School Board Annual Budget (Special Education Fund).
- Responsible for assisting the City School Board for their annual budget;
- Responsible for assisting the City School Board in the preparation of Work & Financial Plan for SEF
- Responsible for the preparation of the book of accounts of the SEF budget and update their balances per month;
- Responsible for the obligation of OBRs to their respective accounts and update the balances per month.
