  • Responsible for the proper, efficient and effective administration of the real property tax
  • Responsible on appraisal of all real property whether taxable or exempt at the current and fair market value prevailing in the locality where the property is situated
  • Responsible in the preparation and maintenance of assessment roll wherein all real property whether taxable or exempt, shall be listed, valued and assessed in the name of the owner or administrator, or anyone having legal interest in the property.
  • Responsible in safekeeping and filing all declarations of real property and other assessment documents under uniform classification system
  • Responsible in preparation of schedule of fair market values for the different classes of real property, for enactment by ordinance of the Sanggunian concerned.
  • Responsible in the conduct General Revision of real property every three years.
  • Responsible in the timely issuance of written notification of new or revised assessment within the prescribed time set by law.

APPRAISAL DIVISION

  • Responsible for the preparation of schedule of market values & other periodic report;
  • Responsible for providing the appraisal, assessment, market values of lands, buildings, and machineries;
  • Responsible for the conduct of an ocular inspection of real properties such as lands, buildings, machineries & other improvements to determine whether they are properly classified, valued and assessed.
  • Responsible for the conduct of an ocular inspection on lot prior to issuance of Certificate of No Improvement

ASSESSMENT EVALUATION DIVISION

  • Evaluates and ensure that the laws, in appraisal and assessment regulations are properly executed.
  • Responsible on computerization of the office.
  • Evaluates FAAS report in land, building, machinery and other improvement determine whether they are properly classified, valued and assessed.
  • Counter checks the computation of area of appraised real property units
  • Responsible for the transfer of ownership and updating of other related documents;
  • Responsible for collection and compilation of data to be used in preparation of schedule of market values.

TAX MAPPING DIVISION

  • Responsible for the preparation & installation of tax mapping system;
  • Responsible for the establishment of control line between official records of real property & tax map;
  • Responsible on tagging and identification on buildings, machinery and other improvement subject for real property appraisal for taxation purposes or cancellation of assessment.
  • Responsible for the conduct of an ocular inspection on lot prior to issuance of Certificate of No Improvement
  • Responsible for the maintenance of Maps, Digital Maps, Spatial Data & other GIS Functions.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND RECORDS MANAGEMENT DIVISION

  • Responsible on issuance upon request of any interested party, certified copies of assessment records of real property upon payment of a service charge or fee to the treasurer.
  • Responsible for the management of all records & documents of the City Assessor’s Office.
  • Responsible for the preparation of periodic reports, establishment & maintenance of an active continuing program for the mgmt., preservation & disposition of records;
  • Responsible for planning & directing the functions & activities of the section & managing all phases of the records reporting & correspondence;
