- Responsible for the preparation and submission of financial statements/reports to the Local Chief Executive (LCE), Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) and to the Commission on Audit; and other instrumentalities as maybe required by issuances or law
- Responsible for apprising the LCE and SP on the financial condition and operations of the LGU;
- Responsible for installation and maintenance of an internal audit system in the LGU;
- Responsible for the review of supporting documents before preparation of vouchers to determine completeness of requirements;
- Responsible for the preparation of journals and analysis of obligations, reconciliation of accounts, accountant’s advice and maintain and keep all records/reports related thereto;
- Responsible for the preparation of statements of journal vouchers and liquidation of the same and other adjustments related thereto;
- Responsible for the preparation of statements of cash advances, liquidation, salaries/wages, allowances, reimbursement and remittances pertaining to the LGU;
- Responsible for the preparation of financial statements/reports and certifications for barangays, abstract and monthly report of Real Property Tax collections;
- Responsible for the preparation of utilization reports of funds and other Trust Funds;
- Responsible for the posting of individual disbursements to the subsidiary ledger and index cards;
- Responsible for the maintenance of individual ledgers for officials and employees of the LGU pertaining to payrolls and deductions;
- Responsible for the recording and posting in index cards details of purchased furniture, fixtures and equipment including disposal thereof, if any;
- Responsible for the accounting of all issued requests for obligations and maintain and keep all records and reports related thereto;
- Responsible for the maintenance of centralized filing of records and transmittal of office communications, requests, vouchers and other reports to other city departments and government agencies;
- Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may be provided by law and ordinance.
