October 31, 2024, the City Public Employment Services Office (CPESO), led by Ms. Mary Ann C. Biliwang, in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) su cessfully facilitated the TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) Payout for 100 Fernandinos in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The activity program was graced by the presence of Honorable Mayor Vilma Balle Caluag and gave an inspiring message to all participants that through determination and perseverance there is hope amidst difficulties. Mayor was joined by key personnel from the DOLE office represented by Ms. Roselle Badua, signifying the shared endeavor between the local and national agencies promoting community resilience.
100 Fernandino beneficiaries have completed the 10 days essential cleaning to various response facilities in the city as part of community support program. Most of the beneficiaries were victims of flood caused by previous typhoons and have faced struggles in livelihood and necessities during and after the disaster. The said initiatives not only gave an opportunity to compensate their work but also serves as a support to rebuild their lives towards significant recovery.
The program formed part of the 10-point agenda under the excellent leadership of Mayor Vilma Balle Caluag towards employment facilitation and support for all.
