CSF’s 2015 Local Development Fund Priorities Identified [ Monday, 29th of September 2014 | 3 years ago ]


To ensure sustained progress in San Fernando, the city’s Local Development Council (LDC) reconvened on September 25 at the Heroes Hall at the instance of its chairman and presiding officer Mayor Edwin D. Santiago.

Tackling the utilization of the 20% of the city’s Local Development Fund, the council has identified environmental management, social and economic development as its priorities for 2015.

Topping the list is Economic Development that includes procurement of engineering equipment, with a budget allocation of 52,200,073.20, followed by Environmental Management that was appropriated P31,750,000, and Social Development with P17,450,000.

“We are taking the initiative for the development programs of San Fernando. The city with its 35 barangays, has persisted in pursuing good governance to achieve a common goal, and that is sustainability,” said Mayor EdSa.

Also discussed were reports on disaster preparedness that falls under the Santiago administration’s 5th agenda item “Katiwasayan at seguridad ng mamamayan,mapayapang pamayanan.”

Present at the meeting were City Councilors Lito Ocampo, Noel Tulabut, BJ Lagman, Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) President Angel Wijangco, and Engr. Ferdinand Caylao who represented 3rd LDC members present were City Administrator Engr. Fernando Limbitco, Multi Sectoral Governance Council (MSGC) members, city government department/division heads and barangay officials of the city.
