City, Provincial Police Offices Join Forces For ‘Oplan Galugad’ [ Friday, 29th of January 2021 | 1 month ago ]
A total of 19 individuals were busted in Barangay San Pedro on October 31, 2020, through a joint operation of “Oplan Galugad” of the City of San Fernando Police and the Pampanga Police Provincial Office.
“Oplan Galugad” is a regular program of the Philippine National Police which is aimed at enforcing stricter operations to identify those who commit different crimes and quarantine protocols.
The police report said that the leading number of apprehensions was recorded under the violations of city ordinances and quarantine protocols for a total of 13; three for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; one for multiple cases of carnapping, illegal drugs, and violation of land transportation and traffic code; and, two were served with service warrants.
Along with these, a total of 14 undocumented motorcycles were impounded while 26 sachets of suspected shabu were confiscated from the illegal drug suspects.
“Hindi kami mapapagod na magbantay at gampanan ang aming tungkulin upang mapanatili naming payapa ang sitwasyon ng bawat lugar ng Pampanga, lalo na sa Siyudad San Fernando. Ginagawa natin upang makita nila na hindi tayo nagpapahinga sa pagsasagawa ng security coverage sa crime prevention efforts ay gagawin natin,” said Pampanga Police Provincial Office Director PCol. Andres Ocampo Simbajon, Jr.
It can be recalled that Lt. Col. Paul Gamido, city chief of police, has been steadfast in calling to barangay officials to cooperate with the agency’s “Oplan Galugad” program, especially with the occurrence of the pandemic.
Gamido added that the suspects and pieces of evidences are now under the custody of CSF Police Station for proper disposition.
The most recent operations of the CSF Police in a compound of informal settlers in Quebiawan was also joined by Simbajon.
