CSF-LGU Employees Undergo Stress And Financial Management Seminar [ Thursday, 19th of September 2019 | 4 weeks ago ]

Local Government Unit employees of the City of San Fernando underwent a stress management and financial wellness seminar on September 18, 2019 at the Heroes Hall.

With a theme “Malusog at Masiglang Kawaning Fernandino, Push Natin ‘To!” the said activity was part of City Government’s first-ever “Health and Wellness Fair. ” Made possible through the efforts of the City Human Resource Management Office headed by Rachelle Yusi, the event was also in line with this year’s celebration of Civil Service Month. LGU employees gained knowledge on how to deal with stress at workplace and the importance of money management in a talk given by Maria Corazon Dampil, a Licensed Physical Therapist and Financial Advisor. Several health and wellness booths were also installed through the coordination of the City Investment Promotions Office. These were Joyride and Happy Organics for Traders; and Sherwin’s Gym, Pound for Pound Fitness, Anytime Fitness and OJ’S Powerhouse Gym for the fitness gym. Under the Financial Institution for Start-Up Business were BPI, BDO/One Network, Credit Master, Sunlife, Guagua Rural Bank, PAG-IBIG, and city government’s Cooperative. For the Healthy Foods and Crafts were Lamarca Craft Foods, Bryan Gil Creations (Oil), Nutri Delight, Nature’s Gift (Sambong Juice), Julia’s Mom, Natural Verde (Organic Soap), HealthWise (Low Calorie Bread), Cabalen Oilers, Tita Nel’s Mushroom, Made by Pearl, Ultra Green Coffee, Ugat Enterprises and Nature’s Joy (Honey Bee.) Make and take sessions of organic products were also conducted. The City Health Office and City Employment Services Division also participated in the said fair as they put in free medical consultation and pampering services. In an interview, CHRM Officer Yusi said that the main objective of the said program is to ensure the total well-being of the employees as they contribute a lot to the success of the local government. “Gusto talaga natin na masiguro na healthy ang ating mga empleyado, dahil kapag healthy sila ay magiging produktibo sila sa kanilang trabaho, thus the efficient and effective delivery of public service,” said Yusi. She furthered that the city government was looking forward to conduct the said activity again next year as it was “truly beneficial to the LGU workforce.” “I would like to believe na naging successful ang conduct ng health and wellness fair this 2019, so we’re looking forward to enhance or improve it for next year’s CSC month,” added Yusi. For his part, Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago stressed the importance of having a healthy lifestyle. He believes that this kind of activity serves as a venue to raise awareness about health and mental issues among the employees. “Marami tayong programa tungkol sa kalusugan para sa publiko, at bilang kayo ang aming kasangga sa pagbibigay ng serbisyong ito, ay nararapat din na kayo man ay mabigyan ng ganitong serbisyo upang mas lalo pa ninyong mapag-igihan ang inyong tungkulin sa publiko,” said Santiago. Meanwhile, the CHRMO also conducted fund-raising dubbed as “Good Samaritan Funds”, proceeds of which will be donated to employees with critical illness. For the concluding part of the program, guest exhibitors sponsored prizes in raffle games.
