CSF Strengthens ‘assessors Services, Functions’ [ Thursday, 18th of April 2019 | 6 months ago ]

The City Government of San Fernando launched after the flag raising ceremony on April 1 its newly-renovated office and new queuing system of the City Assessor’s Office.

City Assessor’s Office, who’s in-charge in the assessment of real properties including the processing of tax declaration, tax maps, and certificates in the capital city, is being strengthened along with its new strategies and functions in delivering better services for Fernandinos.

According to Luz Bautista, City Assessor, Fernandinos can expect “fast and hassle-free” transactions because of its innovated and high-technology tool and sytem through the initiatives and support of the City Information and Communications Technology Office (CICTO) headed by Marthy Zapata.

“We have three new systems. The first one is the queuing system, kung saan ang lahat ng mga transactions namin ay by number na, dahil nagpatupad na kami ng window transaction, at dun pa lang ay makikita na nila kung saang transaksyon na sila. Pangalawa ay yung GIS (Geographic Information System) namin. This is a project of the City Government na in-adapt ng Assessors Office. And the third is E-filing. Napakadami ng mga documents namin, lalo na’t may mga perpetual documents kami, which is hindi pwede itapon, so lahat ng documents ng opisina namin ngayon ay nasa E-filing na para sa mas mabilis na pagtugon sa pangangailangan ng aming mga kliyente,” she said.

Bautista furthered that Geographic Information System is not just a system but also a powerful tool, wherein all offices in the city hall can use and apply it for a particular task.

“Lahat ng mga opisina ng city, pwede nila gamitin base sa pangangailangan nila, pwede nilang i-tag iyon. For example, yung sa fire, pwede ba? Oo, kung saan yung the nearest route, halimbawa kung may sunog, pwede nilang gamitin or makita yung any other alternate route kung barado o sarado yung daan.Lahat ng offices ay applicable sa system na ito,” said Bautista.

It can be recalled that the Commission on Audit lauded the City of San Fernando for its timely distribution of real property tax shares, wherein the City Assessors Office is one of the organizations that contribute a lot of work in assessing real properties.

Bautista encouraged Fernandinos to come and visit their office located at the first floor of the City Hall to know more about their services and functions.
