CSF-PESO Still Central Luzon’s Top PEIS Implementer [ Thursday, 11th of April 2019 | 1 week ago ]
The City of San Fernando’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) was still Central Luzon’s top implementer of PESO Employment Information System (PEIS) for 2018, according to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 3.
This led for the city’s PESO to be recognized once again during the 2018 PESO Year-End Performance Assessment and 2019 Planning Exercises last week at Subic Bay Travelers Hotel in Subic, Zambales.
It can be recalled that the city was also named as the region’s top implementer of the said program for 2017.
Cited were CSF’s excellent performance in implementing PEIS in the areas of Applicants Registration, Employers Registration, and Job Vacancies Posted, through the leadership of Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago and PESO Manager Donny Sayre.
DOLE’s records showed that from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018, the city has garnered 5,168 applicants, 218 employers, and 16,286 posted job vacancies, the highest total record set among all the component cities in the region.
Santiago, for his part, said that the recognition is being dedicated to all Fernandinos and partner-employers.
“Masaya tayo na muli, kinilala ng DOLE ang ating PESO. Itong parangal na ito ay iniaalay natin sa mga Fernandino na pursigido na makapagtrabaho para sa kanilang mga pamilya at siyempre, sa ating mga partner-employers na naniniwala sa mga kakayahan ng Fernandinos,” expressed Santiago.
The awarding ceremony was attended by CSF-PESO personnel Dolor Aquino, Labor and Employment Officer, and Mary Jerlynne Feliciano, Youth Development Officer, on behalf of Santiago and Sayre.
