‘Kasalan king Balen’ is a Kaganapan-related activity hosted by the city government, through the City Civil Registry Office and Community Affairs Division, which for this year, was held on February 14 and 15 at Heroes Hall.
“Ngayon na kayo ay ikakasal na, huwag kalimutang magpasalamat. Magpasalamat sa inyong mga magulang, sa inyong mga ninong at ninang, at sa Panginoon,” expressed Santiago.
He highlighted that without the support of these people, their relationship won’t be able to reach the marriage stage.
“From the time that you were born, hanggang sa kayo ay lumaki, naka-alalay ang inyo ang mga taong iyan, at ang Panginoon. They should be appreciated for their love and support dahil kung wala ang mga iyan, tiyak, wala pa kayo sa ganitong parte ng buhay ninyo,” he expressed.
This mass wedding covered almost all the couples’ wedding expenses, including the purchase of their rings, cakes, food packages, and the issuance of their marriage licenses and contracts.
Also gracing the event were Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin and some city councilors, together with Kaganapan 2019 Chairperson Ferdinand Caylao.
