CSC Cites San Fernando For “HRM Excellence” [ Thursday, 13th of December 2018 | 1 month ago ]

The City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO) of the Local Government of San Fernando became the first office in the province to be cited by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for an “HRM excellence.”

On December 10’s flag raising ceremony, CSC Regional Director Nelson Sarmiento and CSC Pampanga Field Office Director Emily Reyes officially handed the recognition to Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago and CHRM Officer Rachelle Yusi.

Now, all four (4) HR systems of San Fernando’s CHRMO are Level II Accredited by the CSC, including recruitment, selection, and placement, learning and development, performance management, and rewards and recognition.

This accreditation is under CSC’s Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM), which goal is to develop government agencies’ HR management competencies, systems, and practices.

Sarmiento also congratulated Santiago, together with the Sangguniang Panlungsod and all the offices, for their excellent leadership, citing that “they will be given credit not only in San Fernando, but in the whole nation.”

Meanwhile, Santiago reiterated that “human resource” is still the “greatest of all resources.”

“We give importance to human resource management because in the city, we still consider them as the ‘greatest of all resources.’ May kakayahan tayong mabigyan ng magandang serbisyo ang mga Fernandinos dahil hinuhulma nating maigi ang mga empleyado sa siyudad,” Santiago added.
