CCSFP: ‘Aslag Ning Balen’ The Beginning Of A Brighter Future [ Wednesday, 7th of November 2018 | 8 months ago ]

Another significant milestone was happened last October 29, 2018 in the City College of San Fernando, Pampanga as it launched its new school branding the “Aslag ning Balen”. 

Mayor Edwin ‘EdSa’ Santiago together with Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, and CCSFP Coordinator Rachelle Yusi led the official launching of the school brand, which represents a brighter future for the City College.

‘Aslag’ is a Kapampangan word which means ‘brightness’ that symbolizes the continuous development and progress of the school.

It was in 2009, when the Local Government of San Fernando formally opened the City College to the public with an aim to provide free quality education to poor but deserving Fernandinos.

By then, CCSFP has become the ‘second home’ of the Fernandino students, which they started to build their dreams.

During his speech, Santiago likened the progress of the CCSFP to the “parul” or lanterns of the city.

He said that like the shining and dazzling lanterns, the CCSFP serves as a ‘light’ to every Fernandino who aspire to have a better and brighter future.
