Outstanding CSFP Cooperatives Recognized [ Tuesday, 30th of October 2018 | 3 months ago ]

Seven (7) outstanding groups and individuals of the City of San Fernando Cooperatives were recognized for their invaluable service during the CSFP Cooperatives Summit on October 26, 2018 at Heroes Hall.

According to Rimando Umali, City Cooperative Development Officer, the summit is in line with the National Cooperative Month for this year, with an aim to boost partnership among the partners of the city for “building resilient and empowered communities.”

The awarding ceremony, dubbed as “Galal Karing Kooperatibang Fernandino 2018,” was set to recognize cooperatives who have expressed full compliance with the Philippine Cooperative Code of 2008, which requires them to share resources and services for other cooperatives’ development.

The awardees listed below include Multi-purpose Cooperatives (MPC) from public and private institutions and groups, validated by the City Cooperative Development Council.

·         Most Conscientious Cooperative Award- San Fernando Elementary School Teachers MPC

·         Best in Membership Expansion Award- Staffers Labor Service Cooperative

·         Best in Members Savings Deposit Generation Award- Pampanga Capitol Employees MPC

·         Best Capital Build Up Generated Award- Golden Group Gabay Puhunan Brotherhood MPC

·         Most Diversified Cooperative Award- Golden Group Gabay Puhunan Brotherhood MPC

·         Best in Community Service Award- Pampanga High School MPC

·         Best CSFP Performing Cooperative Leader Award- Joselito Sanchez of the Golden Group.


Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago also graced the ceremony, remarking that cooperatives play a vital role in development.


“I always tell other people to have ‘cooperation’ because dito nagsisimula yung progreso. Cooperatives also serve as keys to success and development,” expressed Santiago.


Santiago also sent his congratulatory message across to awardees


“Binabati ko ang mga natatanging kasapi sa CSFP Cooperatives para sa patuloy ninyong pagtutulungan na mai-angat ang antas ng pamumuhay ng bawat isa. Maraming salamat sa pakikisama sa layunin ng siyudad na ‘walang maiiwan,’ Santiago said.
