Whereas, Barangay Dela Paz Norte, led by Captain Wilsen Samia and Rural Health Midwife Lani Manaloto, was recognized as the Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Committee for medium category. Dela Paz Norte was also chosen to represent the city in the upcoming search for the Regional Barangay Nutrition Committee. Aside from the Barangays, the LGU has also recognized Brenda Mendoza of Barangay Dela Paz Norte as the Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar in the city. She will also vie for the regional entry. According to the City Health Office, the awardees were carefully selected through the nutrition checklist and regular conduct of their monitoring and evaluation of the Local Level Plan and implementation. In his speech, Mayor Edwin "EdSa" Santiago congratulated all the recipients of awards for their relentless efforts to efficiently deliver nutrition services to their respective barangays. "Our nutrition workforces in the grassroots play a vital role in developing a productive and well-nourished Fernandino community," he added.
