This was conferred by the Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Incorporated (CLGCFI), in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Interior and Local Government, and Department of Information and Communications Technology.
In her opening remarks, Tarlac City Governor and CLGCFI President Susan Yap said the awarding seeks to recognize and acknowledge deserving Local Government Units (LGU) in Region 3 which have excellent implementation in issuance of mayor’s permit to ease the doing of business in their respective LGUs.
In an interview, Mayor Edwin ‘EdSa’ Santiago expressed his gratitude to the CLGCFI for recognizing the city’s efforts and commitment in providing quality public service.
Santiago furthered that this award serves as an inspiration to do better, in order to enhance and improve the business transactions in the city.
Meanwhile, the city also received plaques of recognition from the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index for being the 4th Overall Competitiveness city in the Region 3. The city was ranked 2nd for Economic Dynamism, 6th for Resiliency, and 10th for Infrastructure.
