Mayor EdSa Celebrates Birthday By Giving Services To Fernandinos [ Monday, 25th of June 2018 | 3 weeks ago ]


“Hayaan niyong masuklian ko ang inyong walang sawang suporta at pag-alalay sa akin sa pagtataguyod ko ng progresibong Syudad, kaya naman buong puso akong nagpapasalamat sa inyo at buong galak ko din ipinamamahagi ang mga biyaya na ipinagkaloob sa akin ng Panginoon,” Mayor Edwin ‘EdSa’ Santiago said during his birthday speech on June 21, 2018. 


With a heart full of love, compassion, and gratitude, Mayor Edwin ‘EdSa’ Santiago celebrated his 61st birthday with a theme “Handog Pasasalamat sa Kaarawan ni Mayor EdSa” wherein various social services were offered to Fernandinos.

In an aim to promote healthy living and environment conservation, the celebration was kicked off by simultaneous health and wellness activities.

The “Padyak para sa Kalusugan at Kalikasan” program took place early in the morning at WalterMart which participated by some cyclists from different bikers’ association in the city and neighboring towns.

While, members of the CSF Knights joined the Fun Run starting at City Hall up to San Pedro Cutud. This was followed by a thanksgiving mass at the San Pedro Cutud Chapel which was attended by Santiago and his family, friends, and some CSF-LGU department heads.

Highlight of the celebration was the “EdSa Barangay Day” at San Pedro Cutud wherein residents of the said barangay availed the social services given by the local government such as; medical/dental services, laboratory checkup, distribution of Philhealth Application form, scholarship application, among others.

Distribution of school supplies to the students of San Pedro, Cutud Elementary School was also conducted.

Senior citizens are really closed to Mayor EdSa’s heart, that is why he conducted a gift-giving” ceremony  to the senior citizens from Sta Lucia and San Nicolas wherein they received groceries and transportation allowance.

Meanwhile, jobseekers not only in the City of San Fernando but also in neighboring towns had an opportunity to look for a good job during the “City Job Fair” which was spearheaded by the Public Employment Services Division in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry Region 3, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), and SM City Downtown.

A total of twenty (20) companies participated in the said fair, comprising of four (4) overseas and sixteen (16) local companies.

The city mayor aims to provide and open up careers for everyone, for them to face life with dignity and responsibility.

“Ang aking hangarin ay sana mabigyan pa ako ng lakas at tibay ng loob upang maipagpatuloy ang aking nasimulan, sama-sama nating abutin ang kaunlaran dito sa Syudad San Fernando, muli maraming salamat po,” Santiago ended.
