CSF’s Local Civil Registry Office Recognized [ Wednesday, 13th of June 2018 | 1 week ago ]
The Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of the City Government of San Fernando was recently awarded by the Philippine Statistics Authority for having garnered 2nd Place in the 2017 Outstanding Local Civil Registry Office (Super Extra Large Category).
The award was given during the 9th National Workshop on Civil Registration held June 6 at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Local Civil Registrar Rimando Umali who is also the President of Civil Registrar’s League of Pampanga (CRELPA) said that the award was based on performance evaluation and the success of registration works and other activities such as mobile civil registration and information and dissemination campaigns.
“We were surprised to receive the award because we were not informed about it prior the awarding ceremony. Last time, we were only 6th placer and we are truly grateful for besting all other cities and landing as the 2nd placer this year,” he added.
Other awardees were General Santos City as 1st Placer and San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan as 3rd Placer.
Aside from the award, the City Human Resource Development Office reported that the LCRO also ranked No. 1 or Best Performing Office in the Local Government Unit for the year 2017 with an OPCR rating of 3.65. This made them received the highest Performance-Based Bonus rate of 65%.
In an interview, Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago congratulated the entire LCRO for their efficiency and noteworthy performance as a team that led to commendable results.
“Their united effort have paid off by the awards they have received. These recognitions are also testaments of the fast and quality services that they offer to the Fernandino community,” he added.
