CSF Holds Tribute Concert For LGU Female Employees [ Wednesday, 14th of February 2018 | 3 months ago ]


A tribute concert to all empowered female employees of the local government of San Fernando was conducted February 13 in celebration of Kaganapan 2018 and Valentine's Day.

Mayor Edwin "EdSa" Santiago led the distribution of flowers and chocolates to some 842 female employees of the LGU and attached agencies including Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Education, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Commission on Elections and Commission on Audit. The hardworking ladies were also serenaded through live performances of Filipino pop and R&B band South Border,home growntalents of the Cityband and Councilor Harvey Quiwa. In his speech, Kaganapan 2018 Chairperson Jun Pineda said the activity is one of the highlights of the annual festivity of the Cityhood Charter anniversary. "Tunaynahindimatatawaran ang inyongpagseserbisyosapubliko kaya namannais naming ihandog ang espesyalnaarawnaito para sainyo," he added. Mayor EdSa, for his part, said this is a celebration of love and gratitude for the dedicated women in the workforce who are empowered to build a more prosperous society. "Ditosa San Fernando, bida ang mgakababaihandahilisinusulong ng lokalnapamahalaan ang pagkakapantay-pantay ng kasarian at ang kanilangmgakarapatansapamamagitan ng iba't-ibangmgaprograma," the city mayorexplained. Also present during the program were Office of the President Communication and Social Affairs Director Sonny Borja and wife Boots Borja, Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, Councilors Angie Hizon, BJ Lagman, RedenHalili, Tino Dizon, and Kaganapan2018 co-chairpersons Alex Magsino and Robbie Hizon.
