For the Outstanding Traffic Enforcer award, Romeo Tungcab outshined his co-nominees Joey Magtoto, Ronald Palma and Joseph Lacson after being hailed as the winner. All awardees received checks amounting to P10,000 pesos each and Plaques of Recognition from the Rotary Club. In his speech, Rotary President Ferdinand Caylao said their organization seeks to recognize employees with exemplary and valuable contributions towards the timely and efficient delivery of public services in their respective fields. "We are one with you in developing our city and we see how that many of the employees of San Fernando LGU are really dedicated and committed to their jobs. However, the public sees the other face, but we are here to tell you that you are doing a good job," he added. Mayor Edwin "EdSa" Santiago, for his part, extended his sincerest gratitude to the Rotarians for actively partnering with the local government and for appreciating the efforts of Fernandino public servants. "Congratulations to all our deserving employees. May this recognition spur the productivity and enthusiasm of the entire workforce to mark positive improvements in local governance," the city mayor said. Meanwhile, in memory of the late Rotarian Eddie Chua also known as the traffic czar, the awarded police and traffic enforcers were also given "golden whistles" to signify authority of duty. Also present during the awarding were Councilors Angie Hizon, BJ Lagman, Nelson Lingat and Ruping Dumlao, other members of the Rotary Club and the Youth City Officials.
