Some 40 animals show off their skills and unique features during the 6th ‘Pet Mo, Show Mo' in the City of San Fernando on February 3.

This year, the participating pets include dogs of different breed and reptiles such as snake, turtle and iguana. Pet owners were given opportunity to dress and flaunt their pets as the competition was divided into four major categories namely Cool and Dandy, Glamour and Style, Tough and Glory and Intergalactic. Under the Cool and Dandy category, the winners were the dogs owned by Joey Alcantara for Most Friendly Pet, Liezel Grieney Nedia for Most Behave Pet and Justine Carl David for Best Groomed Pet. Dog owners Arnold Salas won Most Beautiful Pet, Bernie Blim won Look Alike Pet and Francis David won Best Dressed Pet under the Glamour and Style category. This year's Most Exotic Pet is a mexican gragon fish axolotl owned by Rogelio Ryan Nedia while the Ugliest Pet is an Iguana owned by John Gopez. Both are under the Intergalactic category. In his speech, Mayor Edwin "EdSa" Santiago said he is delighted that more Fernandinos are now engage in pet ownership which for him is beneficial in many ways. "Aside from the numerous health benefits, owning a pet is also vital in boosting social interaction and keeping the balance of mother nature. That's why we encourage every owner to treat their pets with respect and affection," Santiago added. Also present during the activity were Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin and Kaganapan 2018 Chairperson Jun Pineda.
