In celebration of the 17th Cityhood Anniversary of San Fernando and National Arts Month this February, the City Government holds an Arts and Crafts Showcase Exhibit at the Old Train Station.

This was formally opened Friday by Mayor Edwin "Edsa" Santiago, Councilor BJ Lagman, Kaganapan 2018 Chairperson Jun Pineda and CSFP Arts and Culture Council Chairperson Dr. Lourdes Javier. The three-day exhibit features the masterpieces of renowned Kapampangan artists Erwin Dayrit, Alvaro Jimenez and Don De Dios. These include 12 paintings with an array of bright colors, patterns and various intricate wire sculptures. In an interview, Mayor EdSa said he is deeply in awe of the exhibited artworks that have truly proven the talent and creativity of the Kapampangan people. "The City of San Fernando will continue to discover potentials and present to the world what is truly Kapampangan and what it is that makes a Fernandino in its goal to become a preferred tourism destination," he added. Santiago also stressed that the artworks are ‘display-worthy' and will serve as inspiration to the young Fernandino aspirants to pursue artistic careers. The exhibit will run until February 4 and is open for free to the public.
