CSF Provides Free Spay, Neuter Services [ Tuesday, 26th of September 2017 | 4 weeks ago ]

The local government of San Fernando, through its City Agriculture and Veterinary Office, has provided free spaying and neutering services for dogs and cats on September 26.

City Veterinarian Dr. Ryan Paul Manlapaz said the activity seeks to promote responsible pet ownership as well as to control the population and reduce unwanted pregnancy among animals.

For her part, City Agriculturist Cristina Sangumay said the activity was realized, through the partnership of the Pampanga State Agricultural University and International Wildlife Coalition Trust, in line with the celebration of World Rabies Day on the 28th.

In an interview, Mayor Edwin "EdSa" Santiago expressed his gratitude to the PSAU and IWCT for partnering with the city of San Fernando in providing compassionate animal care.

The city mayor also stressed that promoting animal health and wellness is also a way to prevent the incidence of pet-associated diseases in the household.

CAVO will also conduct Animal Impounding Operation on September 27 to be followed by a free rabies vaccination scheduled on September 28 at the Old DFA Building.
