CSF Promotes Good Parenting [ Tuesday, 26th of September 2017 | 4 weeks ago ]

PTA Officers of Daycare Centers in the City of San Fernando attend the Parents' Committee Orientation on Early Childhood Care and Development Programs (ECCD) spearheaded by the City Social Welfare and Development Office on September 19 at the Heroes Hall.

To further promote good parenting, parent-teacher association (PTA) officers from different Daycare Centers in the City of San Fernando attend a Parents' Committee Orientation on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Programs on September 19 at the Heroes Hall.

City Social Welfare and Development Officer Iris Biliwang said the aim of this activity is to raise awareness on early learning programs among the children to help them prepare in formal schooling, strengthen the role of parents as the educators of their children, refresh last year's accomplishments, and update the PTA Officers on recent ECCD plans and programs.

During the orientation, ECCD Coordinator Avigail Palanca, discussed the principles and policies of child development and learning. She stressed that children's development follows a definite pattern and predictable sequence.

For his part, Mayor Edwin "Edsa" Santiago said raising a child is one of the most challenging job. Thus, he lauded the parents for their efforts and sacrifices to raise a well-mannered Fernandino.
