Dubbed LGBT Model of Excellence, the awarding seeks to uplift the image and recognize the deeds of the LGBT community particularly those who excelled in the different fields.
The awardees were Michael "Cacai" Munoz (Event Organizer); Michelle Joie Ferraris (International Fashion Designer and President and Chief Executive Officer of AVALON Production Agency); Peter De Vera (Artist And Culture Worker); and Lorena Saivitri Villareal (Recording and Indie Film Artist).
In an interview, Mayor Edwin "Edsa" Santiago said the City aims to eradicate or lessen the discrimination to the third sex. He added that he hopes this celebration would serve as eye-opener to everyone to ensure that LGBT members are treated equally.
Santiago said.
For her part, GAD Focal Person Amalia Catacutan expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported and exerted their efforts to make the celebration successful.
Catacutan said.
