Desilting Starts Early In CSF [ Monday, 10th of February 2014 | 3 years ago ]
“I instructed our Engineering Department to start removing silt and clean the waterways this early,” Mayor Edwin Santiago said.
Mayor Santiago earlier announced that the cleanup of the San Fernando River and its tributaries should commence on the month of January in preparation for the rainy season.
“This is ideal time that we start desilting our waterways as a preemptive measure especially now that we are experiencing climate change,” Engr. Anele David of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office said.
Engr. David noted that the City also supports the International Coastal Cleanup Month every September. ---CSF-CIO
