CSF Receives New Dump Truck From Capitol [ Wednesday, 19th of April 2017 | 2 months ago ]
This was formally turned over to Mayor Edwin ‘EdSa' Santiago by Governor Lilia Pineda during Monday's flag raising ceremony at the Capitol Grounds.
PENR Officer Arthur Punsalan said they have allotted around 50 Million pesos for this project which benefits the 18 cities and municipalities of the province.
"The donation of dump trucks was funded through our quarry collection. All mayors have signed a Memorandum of Agreement that requires the full responsibility of each LGU on the use and maintenance of the truck," Punsalan added.
For his part, Mayor EdSa extended his gratitude to the provincial government for its all-out support in various waste segregation programs.
"This dump truck, which can hold about 14 tons of waste, will fasten the garbage collection in the community. Waste Management has always been challenging but rest assured that the City of San Fernando will continue to strive towards zero waste and a greener environment," Santiago said.
Meanwhile, also present during the activity were Councilor BJ Lagman, City Environment and Natural Resources Officer Engr. Anele David, City General Services Officer Engr. Michael Quizon, and Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office head Engr. Romel Salvador.
