CSF Cycling Caravan Attracts Thousands Of Cyclists [ Wednesday, 15th of February 2017 | 7 months ago ]
For this year, the caravan covered a 47 Kilometer route from Consunji Street, in front of City Hall, up to the Heroes Hall in Brgy. San Juan.
Dubbed 'Padyak para sa Kalusugan at Kalikasan', Mayor Edwin 'EdSa' Santiago stressed that the annual activity aims to promote good health and a greener environment through biking.
Last year, the city launched its first phase of bicycle lanes which are accessible along the stretch of Lazatin Boulevard.
"Cycling is a cheap yet efficient mean of transport. Aside from the fact that it improves one's overall fitness level, it can also help reduce traffic congestion and minimize air pollution," added Mayor EdSa.
Also present during the caravan were Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, Community Affairs Division Head Engr. Jose Diaz and Kaganapan 2017 Chairperson Robbie Hizon.
