CSF Youth Officials Take Oath [ Tuesday, 8th of November 2016 | 11 months ago ]
Mayor Edwin "EdSa" Santiago led the oath taking of 22 high school students coming from different private and public schools in the city.
Jan MacKenzie Guese of Information & Communication Technology High School was elected as the Youth City Mayor while Danna Patricia Castillo of St. Scholastica's Academy was named as the Youth City Vice-Mayor.
With them are 10 Youth City Councilors namely Maria Angelica Mendoza from St. Scholastica's Academy, Camille Angelica Peralta from Information & Communication Technology High School, Denniel Angelo Nunag from University of the Assumption, Ronalei Keyna Deroco from San Lorenzo Ruiz Center Studies & Schools, Cyrill Rap Pangilinan from Pampanga High School, Eizle Faye Maglaqui from University of the Assumption, Gessa Mae Saguban from Northville High School, Francis Gilbert Cortez and Jethro Ryan Cunanan from San Isidro Integrated School and John Omer Punzalan from Pampanga High School.
These students will also work hand in hand with the youth representatives for various departments and offices in the City Government.
Youth ABC President is Andrea Manabat of San Lorenzo Ruiz Center Studies & Schools, Youth City Administrator is Zofie Natano of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University and Youth SP Secretary is Piola Mae Cunanan of Northville High School.
Elected for the department head positions are Richelle Sason of CSF West Integrated School as the City Human Development Officer, Francine Kaye Tolentino of San Nicolas Integrated School as the Youth City Treasurer, Mark Jeremie Sanchez of Saguin Integrated School as the Youth City Budget, Bridgette Sengson of CSF West Integrated School as the Youth City Accountant, Fernando Garcia Jr. of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University as the Youth City Legal Officer, John Michael Nanquilada of San Nicolas Integrated School as the Youth City Health Officer and Alyssa Jane David of Saguin Integrated School as the Youth City Civil Registry Officer.
In his speech, Mayor EdSa thanked the Rotary Club of San Fernando for providing the city with student leaders who work for the betterment and succession of the beloved San Fernando.
The Rotary Club of San Fernando selected the youth officials from the 35 barangays of the city and various schools based on written assessment, oral exam and panel interview with their members.
"As your partner in this esteemed program for the youth, we will strive towards the development of these students into future leaders of the city," said Mayor Santiago.
He furthered that "the city government will provide the youth with trainings and involve them in different city programs to hone their skills and abilities in serving the public."
Meanwhile, also present during the presentation of Youth Officials were Vice-Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, Councilors Ato Agustin, Reden Halili and Tino Dizon and members of the Rotary Club of San Fernando.
The activity kicks off this year's celebration of Youth Week.
