CSF Donates Disaster Preparedness Booklets [ Monday, 12th of October 2015 | 2 years ago ]

The City Government of San Fernando through the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) distributed copies of an educational book on disaster preparedness to all schools in the city during the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, October 12.

Titled “Paghahanda sa mga Kalamidad at Sakuna,” the book aims to prepare communities for calamities that might affect San Fernando at any time.

According to CDRRM Officer Raymond del Rosario, his office recognizes the importance of education in making communities aware and prepared for disasters.

He said that providing the booklets to schools will offer a bigger chance to educate communities on disaster-preparedness through students and their teachers.

Del Rosario pointed out that students of all ages can actively study and participate in social awareness and also work with teachers and other adults in the community in preparing for and actively responding during and after disasters.
