CSF Welcomes Youth Officials [ Wednesday, 16th of September 2015 | 2 years ago ]


Twenty four students coming from different schools in the San Fernando are welcomed by the city government as they were named as the new youth officials of the city.

This was witnessed by City Mayor Edwin D. Santiago together with City Vice Mayor Jimmy T. Lazatin, Councilor Nelson Lingat, Councilor Dein Henson, Councilor Lito Ocampo, Councilor Benedict Jasper Lagman, and Councilor Harvey Quiwa.

According to Youth Week 2015 Director Ricardo Pineda, the youth officials will work hand in hand with the city government officials and city councilors in keeping a more progressive community with the help of the youth sector.

Also, the said youth officials are being recognized by the city government in order to hone their abilities and give them sufficient knowledge in serving the people through the government.

For his part, City Mayor Edwin D. Santiago said that they are glad to have the youth working with them since they will be providing trainings to the youth to prepare them in the years to come.

“This is important because we show them how education affects the youth and we know that this is a great foundation to have a progressive city in the future. We also want to develop the youth; we need to develop them in their values because these are going to be their pillars,” said mayor EdSa.

Coming from Nuestra Senora Del Pilar Integrated Highschool is the elected Youth City Mayor Maria Bernadine Tayag and from Information and Communications Technology Highschool is Youth City Vice Mayor Alyssa Marie Calsa.

Pia Panlaqui of Our Lady of Fatima University is elected as the first city councilor, Charles Aiden Tolentino from Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University as the second city councilor, Kyla Nicole Cortez from Our Lady of Fatima University as the third city councilor, Clarisse Vital from Pampanga High School as the fourth city councilor, Christian Canlas from Information and Communication Technological High School as the fifth city councilor, Stefanie Galang from San Lorenzo Ruiz as the sixth city councilor, Chelsea Carreon from University of the Assumption as the seventh city councilor, Carlo Zapata from Pampanga High School as the eight city councilor, Kate Aquino from San Lorenzo Ruiz as the ninth city councilor, Harold Bernardo from Telabastagan Integrated High School as the tenth city councilor and Bib Robin from San Nicolas Integrated School as the Youth President of the Association of Barangay Captains.

Not only that, the youth also have representatives for every department in the city government such as Allen David as the Youth City Health Officer, Rafael Gatus as the Youth City Engineer, Walley Prianes as the Youth City Environment and Natural Resources Officer, Elishalyn Macabinlar as the Youth City Social Welfare and Development Officer, Jershey Dionisio as the Youth City Legal Officer, Mark Justin Nogoy as the Youth City Accountant, Mary Ann Armenta as the Youth City Budget Officer, Tristan Caba as Youth City Treasurer, Rodrigo Nogoy as Youth City Human Resource Development Officer, Queen Mendoza as Youth Sangguniang Panlungsod Secretary and Renchie Payumo as the Youth City Administrator.

These twenty four youth officials will be the representative of the youth sector in the city, working and cooperating alongside city officials for the betterment of San Fernando.
