As an experienced public servant, Edwin "EDSA" David Santiago is a three-term Vice Mayor of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Under his leadership, the City Council received the Hall of Fame Award for the Most Outstanding Sangguniang Panlungsod of the Philippines as adjudged by the Philippine Councilors' League. Before becoming Vice Mayor, EDSA also served as Councilor for two terms from 1988 to 1998.

Tracing his roots from Barangay San Pedro Cutud, he is well-known for his natural affection to the masses and care for the poor.

Aside from being a public servant, Mayor Santiago was also a professional consultant to various companies such as CGS Refrigeration and Air-Con and concept builder on land development and systems design and analysis of several real estate developers such as North Breeze Corporation, SANRRO, and KEMMP. He also managed 'Nurses to USA' Jobs Search and Placement and has been part of the development of Ayala and SM malls.

Prior to his political career, he worked as a Transportation Manager at Coca-Cola Bottling Corporation where he also led the employees' union. He is also an active entrepreneur and a proponent of cooperatives, advocate of employee rights and supporter of housing development for workers.

A licensed mechanical engineer from Mapua Institute of Technology, EDSA also took up courses in the United States such as Enterprises Workshop from the Florida Chamber of Commerce and Behavioral Management from the University of Pennsylvania.

He also attended governance and leadership trainings sponsored by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).

During his free time, he is involved in various socio-civic activities of the Rotary Club of San Fernando and Cabalen Jaycees.

Because of his passion for animals, he is also considered as a champion breeder of game fowls, dogs, birds and homing pigeons. He is also a collector of 4x4 jeeps and mountain bikes.

EDSA is happily married to Ma. Luisa B. Santiago. His eldest daughter, Pamela, earned a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship from the AIM while his youngest, Kristine, finished Psychology at the Angeles University Foundation.

He is now the local chief executive of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga after earning the trust of the majority of the voting population. During his first term as Mayor, Fernandinos can expect continuous progress, more social services and empowered villages.
