Praxedes Fajardo, the President of the Philippine Red Cross in Pampanga, came from a distinguished and intellectual family. She is the daughter of Justino Fajardo, a Cabeza de Barangay and his wife Andrea Puno. She was born on July 21, 1874. A gifted child, she was sent by her parents for education at La Consolacion College in Manila.
As a president of the Provincial Red Cross, she was orderly and systematic in her work. Praxedes Fejardo was one of the women leaders who knelt down and pled before Gen. Thomas Mascardo.
Praxedes who never married, assumed her sister’s responsibility in rearing her nephews and nieces. She died on August 10,1928 at the age of 54.
