CSF Churns Out New Certified Specialists [ Sunday, 24th of August 2014 | 3 years ago ]
These beneficiaries are members of Barangay Saguin Women’s Association who have undergone one month of training and assessment guided by San Fernando’s Public Employment Service Office.
They are Maribel David, Olivia De Villa, Jocelyn Paguio, Maria Dimacali, Aika Genovo, Juvy Mendiola, Jackie Lou David, Rebecca Licup, Alice Mundido, Benson Jocelyn, Angelina Guevarra, Jinky Mendoza, Jennifer Canlas, Dominica Guevarra, Caroline David, Amelia Pamintuan, Cynthia Dungca, Carolina Bravo, Donalyn Tolosa, Luzviminda Miranda, Aleta Quiambao, Rosita David, Cristy Torres, Grace Quizon, Josephine Pamintuan, Joyce Quizon, Henelita Sumatra, Rosalie Pamintuan.
Mayor Edwin D. Santiago, whose thrust in governance is employment, said that this effort aims to further assist underprivileged families in uplifting their well-being for them to reach self-sufficiency.
He underscored that the program will contribute in building the country’s workforce with competencies that are attuned to the demand of the nation’s growing economy.
“Hindi lang mga white collar jobs ang ating binibigyan ng pansin. Maliban sa ating educational scholarship programs, marami tayong skills at livelihood trainings. Sa ganitong paraan, mas maraming oportunidad ang magbubukas para sa ating mga kababayan” said Santiago.
A starter kit containing manicure and pedicure set were also distributed to the beneficiaries who mostly are plain housewives.
With this, they now have the opportunity to earn through small-scale business which can be included as one of their main sources of living.
