CSF Promotes Camaraderie Through Halloween Party [ Thursday, 17th of November 2016 | 4 months ago ]

Days before Halloween or the eve of All Saints Day, the City Government of San Fernando hosted a Cultural Enhancement Activity dubbed †Halo-Halo Ween†held on October 28 at the City Hall.

The activity, now on its 4th year, is celebrated through various fun-filled contests open to all local government employees and their children.

29 offices or departments competed in the annual inter-office decorating contest with the theme "Filipino Legends" including Alamat ng Saging, Alamat ng Pinya and Alamat ng Sampalok.

The City General Services Office (Alamat ng Saging), City Human Resource Development Office (Alamat ng Pinya) and City Environment and Natural Resources Office (Alamat ng Sampalok) outshined and proved to be the most creative after being declared as this year's winners in their respective categories.

Landing on the 2nd rank are CLO, BLPD and CSWDO. On the other hand, CMO, CAD and MITD, and CASSO all ended as third runners-up.

Meanwhile, employees who were hailed as winners in the individual costume contest are Patricia Kabiling (CHRDO), Remily Canlas (CENRO), Rosanna Laconico (CASSO), Marivic Magsakay (CDRRMD) AND Reyfrido Castro (CGSO).

For the children category, the sons/daughters of Mary Anne Serrano (CGSO-BPLMS), Cherrly Lagdamen (CAVO) and Ara De Leon (CPDCO) were named as Most Creative.

Most Unique Costume awards were given to the children of Christine Joy Silva (COA), Rosali Velasquez (CEO) and Renely Tungol (CHO).

Completing this year's set of winners are the children of Aileen Dizon (CHRDO), Arthur Serrano (CHRDO) and Charmaine Delos Santos (COA) who bagged the cutest individual costume award.

In his speech, Mayor Edwin â€~EdSa†Santiago said the activity is part of the city's efforts in promoting family-oriented values, morale, responsiveness and camaraderie in the civil service.
"Aside from their duties and responsibilities as public servants, we also want to boost their creativity while at the same time upholding a strong and united workplace." Santiago added.
