Amid Yuletide Cheers, Mayor EdSa Remembers Yolanda Victims [ Wednesday, 13th of November 2013 | 4 years ago ]


“Despite the hardships that we are encountering, I believe every Filipino should celebrate the Christmas season to somehow ease the pain. And in behalf of the City of San Fernando, we share our grief to all Filipinos affected by Yolanda,” Mayor Santiago said in his opening statement during the unveiling of the mall’s “Smurftastic Christmas” celebration.

Mall manager Lana Erroba and select city officials led the distribution of Christmas gift bags and teddy bears to special children with disabilities whom, she explains, are the beneficiaries of the event.

“The Christmas season is the most favourite time of the year. SM San Fernando Downtown participates in the Smurfstastic Christmas to appeal to all the kids,” Erroba added.

Morissette Amon, Paolo Onesa, Myk Perez and Janice Javier from the reality TV talent search The Voice of the Philippines were also invited as special guests to serenade the crowd. ---CSF-CIO



During the grand Christmas launch of SM City San Fernando, Mayor Edwin D. Santiago condoles with the nation over victims of the recent super typhoon “Yolanda” that struck Visayas.
