CSF Officials Formally Presented [ Tuesday, 5th of July 2016 | 9 months ago ]

The new set of officials of the City Government of San Fernando were formally presented to the public on July 4 during Monday’s flag-raising ceremony in front of the City Hall.

Presenting them was Engr. Jose Algy Canlas, officer of the Department of Interior and Local Government in San Fernando.

The city officials were led by unopposed City Mayor Edwin D. Santiago and Vice Mayor Jaime T. Lazatin who are both on their second term.

Also presented by Canlas were the members of the 6th Sangguniang Panlungsod composed of mostly Liberal Party candidates. They are re-elected Councilors Angelica Hizon, Benedict Jasper Simon Lagman, Nelson Lingat, Harvey Quiwa, Celestino Dizon, third-termer Councilors Noel Tulabut and Ayzel Macalino, and comebacking Councilors Ruperto Dumlao, Redentor Halili and Renato Agustin.

In his short speech, Mayor Santiago thanked the Fernandinos for their trust and asked that they continue to work hand in hand in bringing inclusive and sustainable progress to the city. He then outlined his administration’s revised development agenda that is based on comprehensive planning.

On this 10-Point Agenda are education, employment, environment, health, peace and order, family, infrastructure, tourism and culture, investments promotion and government efficiency.

“Minarapat kong baguhin ang 12-Point Agenda upang siya’y magiging istratehiya ngayon sa pagtahak natin sa panibagong direksyon sa pagpasok ng bagong termino,” the mayor explained.

Mayor Santiago then urged every Fernandino to partake in building a brighter nation. “Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang mga simulaing ito para maisakatuparan ang pinapangarap na Bagong San Fernando.”
