First BPO In CSF To Operate Soon [ Wednesday, 16th of September 2015 | 2 years ago ]

The first business processing outsourcing [BPO] company will soon operate in this city, “opening new opportunities and challenges to Fernandino community” said local chief executive.

Thus stated Mayor Edwin D. Santiago during the courtesy call made by Professional and Technical Outsourced Services [PROTOS], an Australia-based company that cater to more than 200 companies internationally as back office support, marketing arm, virtual assistance promotion and branding, positioning and internet optimization for the advancement of their business.

“If all requirements are completed we will operate next month and will be located at the city proper” said PROTOS chief executive officer Monty G. Hooke.

Hooke added that they are now offering 70 job opportunities in web developing, marketing, web content writing, graphic designing, among others.

“I’ve learned about the quality of students here in the city particularly in the City College, we are willing to give them opportunity” he said.

In an interview, Mayor Santiago expressed his excitement in this ‘milestone investment’ which he also described as “a move towards inclusive development.”

“Big investments like this usually take place in highly developed areas, this is a proof of our [San Fernando] lively economy.”

The city holds the title 2nd Most Competitive LGU (component city) and regarded as 2014 Most Business Friendly city by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“Isa din itong hamon para sa ating lahat mula sa hanay ng edukasyon hanggang sa ating pamilya para lalo pang paghusayan ang paghubog sa karunungan at sa karakter ng ating mga anak” he added.

“What we want here is development without sacrificing Fernandino conservative values and traditions” said Mayor Santiago.

Also present during the meeting were Chief of Staff Remedios Agoncillo, Multi Sectoral Governance Council official Engr. Ferdinand Caylao, Business Processing and Licensing Division chief Joseph Garcia, and PROTOS General Manager Reynaldo Carlos.
