Industrial Trade Fair Opens In The City [ Friday, 29th of May 2015 | 2 years ago ]
The ribbon cutting was led by City Mayor Edwin D. Santiago, Vice Mayor Jimmy T. Lazatin, City Tourism and Investment Promotions Officer Ching Pangilinan and Business License and Permit Division Officer in Charge Joseph Garcia.
According to City Tourism Officer Ching Pangilinan, the trade fair is a regular activity of the city government and is being done during thematic festivities such as the Kaganapan, Pyestang Fernandino and Giant Lantern in order to add color to the celebration.
Not only that, Pangilinan added that the trade fair is also a way of promoting the products of every Fernandino.
“It generates local income, lalong lalo na sa mga local entrepeneurs natin dito sa ating siyudad,” said Pangilinan.
Meanwhile, Mayor EdSa stressed that by organizing a trade fair, the city is promoting the products of each barangay, since the city has been organizing the project OBOP: One Barangay, One Product.
“Nasusuportahan natin ang ating mga kababayan, para mabigyan sila ng pagkakataon na makilala and ang kanilang produkto. Isa itong magandang pagkakataon upang maipakita ang sariling produkto ng mga Fernandinos,” said Mayor EdSa.
He also encourages Fernandinos to buy the local products in order to generate income for the local industry and make use of the products made by the different sectors of the community.
