Residents Benefit From Medical Mission And Operation Tuli [ Friday, 29th of May 2015 | 2 years ago ]


More than one hundred residents from Barangay San Agustin benefited from the Medical Mission and Operation Tuli held by the City Health Office on May 17.

The activity is in line with the celebration of the World Family Doctors Day with a theme “Family Doctor Para Queng Bawat Pamilyang Kapampangan” and is in partnership with the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians Pampanga Chapter and the Department of Family and Community Medicine Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital.

This was attended by City Mayor Edwin D. Santiago, Vice Mayor Jimmy T. Lazatin, City Health Officer Dr. Eloisa Aquino, Rural Health Unit IV Dr. Maricel Lapid, Barangay Captain Amando D. Santos and representatives from the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians Pampanga Chapter.

According to City Health Officer Dr. Eloisa Aquino, they are creating this kind of activity to extend the city’s health services and programs to the community and with the help of different organizations.

“Not only we did a medical mission but we also conducted a Tuli Operation because this is a summer program of the city,” said Dr. Aquino.

With this, they also awarded a notable family, a member of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps in their efforts to lift themselves from poverty and create a more established lifestyle with the help of the city government.

Meanwhile, Mayor EdSa stressed that one of the main goals of the city is to have a healthy community in order to have a more productive city.

He also pointed out that their top priority is to provide the children the right amount of nutrition for them to be more productive in school and may help them in becoming successful in the future.

“Gusto natin na sa simula palang tinutulungan na natin ang mga mamamayan. Sa mga kababaihan, nais natin na sa pagbubuntis pa lamang nila hanggang sa kanilang pagtanda, tayo ay nakaantabay para masigurado ang kanilang kalusugan,” added Mayor EdSa.

Mayor EdSa is encouraging all Fernandinos to support and maximize the use of the city’s medical services.
